Mastering Grammar: “A Deep Dive into the Future Continuous Tense in Teaching" by Kate Poltavets (Student’s Work)

👋Hello everyone! Ready to dive into English grammar? Today, we're talking about the Future Continuous! Get set to explore and master this tense as we break it down step by step. Let's make learning grammar fun and!

🎭 Exercise 1: Ask students to identify the celebrity in the photo and what she is famous for. (It’s Margot Robbie, an actress, in case you're not a cinema fan). Then, have them read the description of her plans for the day. Draw their attention to the sentences in bold and pose some questions for Guided Discovery:

·Are these completed actions or actions in progress in the future?

·What's the form of the Future Continuous?

·Does the verb form change when the subject is "he," "she," or "it"?

📝 Exercise 2: Students will complete the sentences using the Present Continuous Tense.

🔮 Exercise 3: Students are to create their own sentences using the target language. Open the link (https://learnhip.com/fortune/) ; this activity is called “Fortune Teller.” Instruct them to push the button “Cast a rune” and let them know they are going to predict their future (for the day or year). They should look at the rune and create a sentence using the Future Continuous about their future actions. I promise it will be fun and engaging. 🎉 They may also predict the future for their classmates.

  4. Katia P., your grade for the post is 9 out of 10. Do agree that text topography( numbering of sentences, highlighting the forms to be inserted) could help reception better.
